What I’m Reading

One To Many: The Secret to Webinar Success - In the online world we live in, Webinars have become a great way to scale your business revenue. But there’s a science to doing it great and getting the outcome you desire. As I work on rolling out some new products for sale, understanding how to maximize the energy and effort that goes into this medium led me to Jason Fladlien. He’s one of the most successful online webinar sales experts in the game and breaks down his step-by-step processes on how you can use this strategy to blow your business up. From scripts, checklists, and everything in between, I’ve been gaining a ton of value from the book so far and found it to be one of the best I’ve found on webinar sales so far.

Wisdom of the Week

5 Deadly Sins of Entrepreneurs

  1. Being too cheap or splurging unwisely
  2. Letting the wrong people have influence over you
  3. Having royalty mentality - entitled and invincible.
  4. Refusing to adapt or pivot
  5. Obsessively comparing yourself to others

Question of the Week

Question: What financial skills really helped you when taking your business to the next level?

Answer: Most people never learn to really run their business like a business. What allowed me to really take my hotel company to the next level is when I committed to mastering the financial skills necessary to build and scale a company. While that can be overwhelming, the 3 financial statements you really need to understand are: 1. The Balance Sheet 2. The Income Statement and 3. The Statement of Cash Flows. These 3 financial statements tell you…Am I stable, Am I profitable, and if you’re going to survive. The more you can understand how to read, manipulate, and manage these financial statements, the more proactive and confident you will be leading your business to success!

Pic of the Week

I was going through old photos on Thanksgiving and found this one from 2015 of all my family. Sadly 3 people in this photo are no longer alive. That said, I'm so grateful for the time we’ve had together and it reminds me just how important it is to take the time to capture and cherish those experiences with the people you love doing life with the most. From my family to yours, I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. You know the A-team will be grubbing hard, watching football, enjoying some great spirits, and making new memories together, and we wish the same for you!

Something I’m Enjoying Using:

Staying hydrated is one of the best ways to get good sleep, remain healthy, and keep energy and productivity high. This past year I’ve tried a variety of different hydration brands and products, but most of them have high sugar content and are full of artificial ingredients that have a bunch of junk in them. That’s why I’m loving LMNT. It’s great for preventing dehydration symptoms like headaches, muscle cramps, and fatigue and the flavor profiles are awesome. My personal flavor choice is their Citrus Salt and its become a part of my daily hydration routine while trying to drink 1 gallon of water.  I also like that they have a “no questions asked refund policy” if you don’t like the product, so if you’re looking for a good electrolyte supplement, check out LMNT here and grab a free sample pack.

Onward and upward,
