Hey, It’s Matty A, host of Millionaire Mindcast, and in this week's Millionaire Notes, you are going to discover the things that’ve been fueling my whole life millionaire lifestyle as of late. Ready? Let’s dive in!

Read of the Week:

The Alchemist  by Paulo Coelho - This book is one of my all time favorite reads and is one I revisit annually. It's a story of Santiago, a shepherd boy who embarks on a journey to find a treasure he has dreamed of. Along the way, he meets a series of characters who teach him valuable lessons about following his heart and pursuing his dreams.

The novel's central theme is the idea that each person has a personal legend, or destiny, that they must fulfill in life. The book encourages readers to pursue their dreams, despite the obstacles that may arise, and to trust in the universe to guide them along the way.

The story of Santiago's journey has many lessons that can apply to people chasing their dreams and goals in life. Here are a few key takeaways:

  1. Listen to your heart: Santiago follows his heart throughout the book, trusting his intuition and taking risks to pursue his dreams. The book encourages readers to do the same, to listen to their inner voice and pursue what they truly want in life.
  2. Embrace the journey: Santiago faces many challenges and setbacks along his journey, but he learns to embrace these experiences as part of his personal legend. The book encourages readers to see obstacles as opportunities for growth and to enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
  3. Believe in yourself: Santiago learns that he has the power to achieve his dreams and that the universe will conspire to help him. The book encourages readers to have faith in themselves and their abilities, and to trust that they have what it takes to achieve their goals.

Overall, "The Alchemist" is a powerful story that inspires readers to follow their dreams and pursue their personal legends. It encourages readers to have faith in themselves and the universe, and to trust in the journey even when the path is uncertain or challenging. I reread this book annually for these exact reasons as chasing big goals and dreams often require these types of reminders when pursuing your goals.

Wisdom of the Week

I know many of you are very busy. It feels like there’s just not enough time to get everything you need done. Time feels like it's fleeting. Not having enough time is just an illusion. We limit ourselves when we choose to believe we don't have enough of it. Instead…Respect time! Show up on time. Value the time you have. Protect it and cherish it, and you will see you can create more of it to use as you please.

Question of the Week

Question: Knowing what you know now, what would you say is the quickest and best path for building wealth? There are so many areas of investing I could focus on and Im feeling a little overwhelmed on where to start (Daniel J - Albuquerque, NM)

Answer: I get this question a lot from newer investors looking for some guidance on the quickest path to financial freedom. While there is no true “get rich quick” way of building sustainable wealth, and many ways to unlock financial freedom, there are a few ways to accelerate hitting millionaire status faster and value add investing is one of them. Instead of flipping houses, or learning to wholesale, I wish I would have just focused on this one strategy from day one. That’s why I decided to create this new video to show you an example of how I’ve done it on some of my real estate investments, and specifically, how I made $1,000,000 in just 12 short months on just one property. This video will walk you through the steps of how I did that and more importantly, show you exactly how to start doing this for yourself too!

Pic of the Week

While in Oahu this past week, the girls and I got in a great hike to the top of Diamond Head Crater. They love going on adventures and exploring nature, so this was a perfect mix of physical activity, family bonding, and taking in the unbelievable views of downtown Waikiki.

Something I Enjoyed This Past Week:

This past week I had a blast out in Oahu with my family. We stayed at the beautiful Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort which is perfectly located right on the main strip of Waikiki Beach. The best part, this whole trip was paid for by points that I earned using the IHG Credit Card which has an insane bonus right now. You can earn 175,000 Bonus Points after spending only $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening which is a rare offering. I also got a complimentary upgraded room because I am a Hilton Diamond Member which cost me nothing extra. As you know, I am a huge believer in credit card hacking, but only when its done responsibly. If you spend this money monthly, and you know you can pay your credit cards off each month, you might as well strategically use your credit cards to get free travel and bonuses. There’s a few cards that are offering crazy bonus points, but they are expiring next week so if you are interested, check out what offers are currently available here

Onward and upward,

Matty A
